L'aéromodélisme, cela fait déjà bien des années...Et pourtant,
merci aux membres du Club "Les Libellules" de Hotton (Ardennes) qui ont été à l'initiative de ce week-end de Pâques au Cap Blanc Nez / Gris Nez!
Car grâce à eux j'ai franchi le pas vers la découverte de cette nouvelle façon de voler. Combien de fois ne me suis-je pas posé de questions en parcourant des articles dans nos revues favorites et en lisant des abréviations comme "PSS" ou autres mots...
Facile à comprendre dans son principe de base, le vol de pente...
Mais ô combien grisant de lancer son modèle "dans le trou" avec les encouragements et les conseils de pilotage des copains plus expérimentés, malgré la purée de pois le long des falaises ce dimanche!
Et d'être émerveillé, comme l'ont été mes élèves de huit ou neuf ans devant le "F5" (qu'ils ont décoré eux-même d'un bariolage coloré avant les vacances de Pâques!), en voyant voler son modèle en stationnaire, prêt à ponger sans bruit, au bord de la falaise! Pourtant, pas question de s'éloigner de plus d'une trentaine de mètres... Voir la photo, cela se passe de commentaires!
Je terminerai en insistant sur la richesse de partager l'expérience des planeuristes avec qui on peut faire connaissance sur place. Nous les remercions bien sincèrement. En toute modestie, ils s'intéressent à nos modèles, répondent à nos questions et nous filent quelques "tuyaux", que nous, ardennais avionneux, ne manquons pas d'appliquer avec leur aide à nos planeurs de tous genres... en "Elapor", en polystirène "scotché", et même en... Dépron. (Oui, vous avez bien lu, on a tout essayé : Dimitri par exemple, malgré le froid, avec sa Ticky de 70 grammes lestée de... 60 grammes de plomb, qui a affronté avec succès et vivacité les grands vents et le brouillard!).
Et le soir, de retour au gîte, autour d'une même table, quel bonheur de rire en se rappelant les grands moments des vols de chacun, de s'entraider pour réparer des petits dégâts ou peaufiner les réglages ... avant de partager une bonne fondue!
